It seems that white rooms are becoming less popular these days. I’m a fan of color in a home, so this is great news to me.”

This will still “incorporate color and drama into a bedroom space,” he says.

It works as a small accent border in a bedroom, banding on roman shades, a band around crown molding, and as a stripe in your classic hotel linens, says Mendelson. This way, the color can stand out amid neutrals if that’s a look you prefer.

Mendelson recommends using the hue to get creative with your headboard, something that he achieved in one of his own projects. He says that in this bedroom space, his team used a bold magenta color to create a backdrop and frame for the bed, which serves as a unique focal point.

If you’re absolutely in love with Viva Magenta, don’t shy away from making it an attention-grabbing and glamorous touch in your bedroom. “If you’re looking to make a real statement, a lacquered room in this color would be a great way to do so,” Mendelson says. “Pair it with ambers, gold, and camel colors to make the room pop.”
